In their terms that allows them to escalate their illusory demands. And that drives the Israelis crazy and makes them toughen up, while the Palestinians at their mercy, disappointed, loose touch with what it takes to economically survive in the modern world. The result is increased social risks, which may in the Moslem world explode in terrorism and worse, such as in the Gulf War of 1989, the ongoing Kurdish rebellion, the unrest in Indonesia, Intifada etc. while being drained of their resources, above all the dwindling oil, the power source of the last, and not yet overcome 20th century and above all their young people which are wasted by sending them into Israeli bullets. At this time, two new "oil-men" Bush jun. and Gulf War Defence Minister Cheney got ready for the next round of the American Presidency, while Al Gore teamed up with the first American Jew, Liebermann, as possible Vice President. And their struggle is yet another, now global indication of the spell of Plato, e. g. the c3-MOS... There is still scope for Arab intervention and the Israeli lobby and another arms race; but very little for real progress say in distributing the blue gold, water, once the oil has run out...
