Such predictions proved true when the corrupt government feuded and the Old Kingdom collapsed. In the meantime a nomadic race headed for Egypt, but other issues took precedence now. After the formation of a new kingdom in Egypt the focus of history traveled abroad for some time. In Babylon, for the first time in history written law was enforced under the Code of Hamurrabi. People hoped for quick results, but that culture was sacked by a race known as the Hittites, and Egypt headed history again in the old way.
