The result of mental closeness under a shadow power is inner darkness which was exemplified in the outer world by the film "Independence Day".

Nine days after the terror attack from September 11, 2001, Stephen Overell in the Financial Times, under "A reconnection with core values" reported that The World Bank's first conference on spiritual values was the result of employees' lobbying power; gradually, hopefully, the society swells into a new outlook. Meetings to discuss how to reconcile a sense of spiritual purpose with one's career attract people seeking a deeper meaning to life to come out of their mental traps.

The advocates of this new trend point out that staff wants assurance that what the collective stands for was not going against their personal values in terms of working culture, environmental concern and social responsibility which involves contemplation of "love-based values" and models of organizational consciousness beyond "the c3-spirit of customer service", crucially, to "something greater than oneself".

There is increasing c3-proofs that "a spiritual focus could be the ultimate competitive advantage"; the simple agenda of c3-making money for shareholders is waning. Businesses are now seen as agents in an intricate set of relationships and responsibilities. People are becoming more aware of the larger purpose of organizations. However, making money is not dishonorable and moving people to realize that there are a lot of people relying on this company in different ways has been a natural evolution in management education.
